OBD fault light
Hi all, any advice is gratefully recieved.
Today i went to fill up my 02 WRX STi at the local garage, when i jumped back in and started to drive home, i noticed that the amber engine light stayed on, on the dash (OBD light).
When i got in I checked that the fuel cap was on correctly. The fuel level was very low prior to filling up. This might be completely nothing to do with the problem but up until today i have not had a problem, and thought it was best to explain how it happened.
Has any one had a problem like this before?
The light stays on permentaly (it does not flash).
Cheers

Is the car running OK? If so, restart 5-6 times and if it was a minor code for an issue which is no longer detected the light will go off, then get it to somewhere (local specialist or dealer) who can check the code for you. There is no way of telling what it is without this.
Bugeyes have a habit of putting the light on with minimal cause, trust me I know...

I had similar and I think it turned out to be the neutral position switch, incorrectly reported. Replacing it and resetting the ecu fixed it. I would get it reset first and see if it happens again.
