Default Oil up to temp quicker?

Hi, this may seem like a silly question, but can i get my oil temp up to operating temp any quicker?
Is it possible to ditch the modine, and fit a oil cooler rad with a bypass, so the rad only comes into use when the oil's warm, say with a thermostat?
I do a few to many short journeys, and worried it's not getting to correct temps before switching off.
I do oil changes every 3000 because of this.

Thanks, Mit
