Default Newage Auto gearbox Power Handling Ability?

Anyone know how much power/torque can be put through the auto gearbox fitted to 2000/2002 model?
I guess it will be limited, is it possible to uprate the boxes?

Not sure about the power limit but the torque convertor would be the first thing to give i expect which would be rated not much more than stock power.

Autos are strong boxes anyway . Try asking on the american sites (autos much more popular over there) try clubwrx , nasioc and rs club . They are slightly differnt from jdm versions but mostly the same box. They do drag race the autos in australia most are uprated. I have an auto classic and mine is great i no there are lads with well above 300bhp on standard boxes
hope this helps
Just been on those forums and they are running up to 400whp
