Boost questions

you should get boost at the same revs/load in each gear
roundabout 3krpm WOT for instance in each gear

replumb yer dodgy gauge, I reckon

Surely full/max boost will only be achieved in 4th/5th at WOT

no, boost should hit the set point (boost setting) in ALL gears


...would be pointless mapping in 3rd gear on a dyno if you dont nkow what its gonna do at 'full boost' in other gears

No it will not make full boost in every gear, although it will make its boost target for that gear, but it will not be full boost until 4th/5th WOT

Those boost guages are crap, I have one on mine and it hisses !! and the needle rattles !!!!!!!!!!!

I also have the same. To stop the hissing make sure there are no air leaks and push on firmly to gauge. The rattling stops if you use the T piece that comes with the gauge, it has a smaller hole for the pipe going to the gauge.

2nd Gear = 14 psi
3rd Gear = 16Psi
4th and 5th = 19Psi
