vf23 turbo
hi,i bought a vf23 roller bearing turbo not so long ago,now ive decided to fit it on to my 1993 wrx,ive been told today that it will not fit.I understood that it would be quite easy, one off then one on.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Also i have an sti inlet manifold to fit with all the injectors coil packs and throttle body, does anyone know if this would fit,any help would be grateful, cheers

your scoob has a "top" entry turbo by default
the aluminium of the compressor cover tapers upwards to mate with the incoming rubber pipe form the airfilter/ maf
the vf23 is a "front" entry turbo and needs a rubber / silicone / oem turbo intake pipe / different manifold / probably different intercooler etc etc
in other words a fair amount of work
search a bit more and check out more engine bay pics to understand more of what i am on about

As stated, the VF23 is fornt entry but you can turn it into top entry by fitting an upturned 90deg Samco hose - of suitable diameter and leg length - to it's inlet collar, using a smooth-edged jubillee clip.
This will then mate to the OEM 90deg downturned black rubber/plastic turbo elbow, using an internal metal ally 'sleeve', clamped in place by another couple of jubille clips.
Why the STi inlet manifold? For the same MY, it's exactly the same as a WRX one (aside form the fact that v.2>on ones were painted red) lol.
This will then mate to the OEM 90deg downturned black rubber/plastic turbo elbow, using an internal metal ally 'sleeve', clamped in place by another couple of jubille clips.

Have you done the turbo conversion then?
Do you know what size/angle pipe i would need.I was told it was one off one on.cheers.
