Default vf23 turbo

hi people i wonder if anyone can help me,ive bought a vf23 turbo,but been told today that this wont fit my 1993 wrx,he didnt even take the turbo off to see.ive also got a v3 sti manifold with injectors and coil packs etc which was modified to fit my classic,he also said it wouldnt fit??
basically does anyone know if the vf23 would fit straight on without any modification,pipework etc.cheers

Hi mate,
The VF23 is front entry so unles you change all you intake pipe/box and air flow sensor it wont fit,
V3 are side entry

Sorry fella, I've not done the conversion myself so dont know the ins and outs of it,
Someone must know on here, might be worth putting it in the tech section

you can actually use manifold spacers to lift your manifold up and then you fit front-entry turbo with necessary piping.
Another way is simply to make vf23 top-entry turbo - with some angled pipe or so, to make it fit your current setup.

Shouldn't be a big deal actually...
Ah - for spacers talk to Carl Davey - he advertise some on his page.
