Whose fitted the Gearbox style speedo convertor ?
i have this to fit.
tried fitting it between the speedo cable that has a join in it just up a bit from the gearbox as i assumed it is this style of fitment,am i wrong ?
tried fitting it but cant see how it secures into place.
i removed the metal clip that joins the 2 speedo cables together and fitted the convertor to the speedo end that leads to the speedo dial itself, but the metal tag wont secure them together and even if it did, theres no way of securing the convertor onto the small cable that leads into the gearbox ???
all confusing
any tips would be great
cheers

Hi,its a classic.
i think i can see how it secures to the main speedo cable that runs into the speedo dial, but for how ti secures into the gearbox cable i cant see, there is a groove on the end with the small cable bit sticking out in the pic but there is no clip on the cables for it, unless i have to buy something ?????
such a tight area to work its hard to see whats what

I think your referring to the male side which is on the right of that picture....I had a orange coloured boot on the cable coming out of the gearbox which the contraption you have up there should just squeeze into. (please note the converter i have is different although it's also manual)
So all you need to make sure is you have a platic boot on the end of the cable which comes out of the gearbox and squeeze the male side in and clip the your clock side into it with the retaining clip. You could use some tape to secure it if you wanted to.

cheers for replies, the orange boot goes over the left part in the above pic, which has the metal retaining clip part, the other side, right side of the pic goes into the cable that leads into the box, this part has no clip, just pushes in and can be pulled out quite easy, thats my main concern.
cheers all
