Default 22b wings

Ive got brembo's on my classic with STI v7 alloys to clear calipers. Ive got her on coilovers but had to lift ride height back up to alomst standard height to get the buggers under the arches without them rubbing. I then hadb the bright idea of fitting wider arches like the 22b's. (Ive already had them rolled but still catching). Ive seen rep. ones from a company called HT auto's. There feedback is excellent on ebay and the item is direct bolt on so no drilling etc, and the car is in for respray over summer, but just wondered if any of you guys had used any of thier stuff before and/or fitted the 22b rep wide arch kit? I can't see the point in having coil overs if i cant drop her 30-50mm below standard ride height
Cheers in advance

Dropping it that much will ruin the handling.

You didn't mention what size tyres you have on? As i believe this is your issue.

Can you put a 215 on a 7.5j rim? surley that will be stretching the tyre walls?

All the suspension angles will be wrong.

215 is the best option.

I,ve even run 205 on 8" rims but thats the limit really

i apreciate what your saying, but all the arms before were stii sat above being level and non of them were negative if you get what i mean. i dont exactly know how much it had been dropped before but it honestly felt ok, view my profile and you mite be able to see better.

When you look at the wheels though, its not the tyre thats the prob its the whole lot, as the edge of the tyre is level with the lip of the wheel?

225/35/18 is the fitment for the prodrive wheels on the p1, you only get problems when you fit '40' profile tyres

sorry should of said i have 224/35/18 on my p1 alloys but they rub if anyone is in the back.

so have gone for 215/35/18 to see if this clears the rubbing up, i have changed the shocks to kyb adjustables but still on teh std p1 springs so would of not thiught that would make a difference as if tehy are set in on the middle settings they are supposed to be the same as standard sti shocks

have had it checked out mate by 3 garages as i was not convinced that there was nothing wrong, they all said that teh tyre is to wide for the car and is rubbing and recommend 215's so what i am to do but give it ago i cant see it effecting the handling and if it stops the rubbing then great
