HI I HAVE JUS GOT A LOVELY 1994 IMPORT WRX AND WAS WONDERING CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH MY QUERIE PLEASE?
1. HOW MUCH FOR AN OIL FILTER?
2. WHICH OIL TO USE AND HOW MUCH TO PUT IN AS I AM WORRIED ABOUT OVER FILLING.
3. HOW MUCH FOR THE TIMING BELT AND IS THERE ANY OTHER PARTS NEEDED WHILE CHANGING THIS ITEM. HOW MUCH ROUGHLY?
I JUST WANT THE PRICE FOR THE PARTS.

The price for an oil filter is around £11.50 which includes the washer for the sump nut. The cambelt is very expensive, I had mine done at a main dealer and the price for the cambelt alone is around £110! You may be able to buy pattern parts cheaper.

STOP SHOUTING!

Standard filter is a Purcolator, but Crossland and I think Coopers do an equivalent. They should be less than £10. Washers from a dealer are a few pence.

A reputable pattern cam belt should be around £100 and you don't need any other parts - just a way to stop the cams turning when you take the old belt off!

hmm I bought a subaru filter ( I always use a genuine filter) for 10.50 euros and 4.5 litres of Castrol RS 10w-60 which along with Motul (hard to get in Ireland) seems to be the recommended choice...

I'm using a halfords cheapo oil filter. Have done about 200 km on it and still holding....for now.
