Default Noise my engine is making (video) Help/advice needed please

Hey all i been looking at a few options with regard to my car as do i keep it, sell it, well have found i am gonna keep it and do the engine in it, reason being due to the noises it is making, its on 144k on same engine and doing box at same time as making whining noises and crunches in near on every gear lol, here is a video of it, bearing in mind this has been making this noise for 80k of its life according to two previous owners, you will hear the noise when i reverse out of the drive.

Almost forgot to ask can i have a possible diagnoisis if it is the common piston slap or something like cylinder head fault?? Many thanks

Its hard to diagnose a sound problem from a video clip mate, i cant really hear much over your exhaust. Your best bet is to get it booked into a scooby specialist and let them look at it.

Piston slap is only on cold start up and in most cases will not be a huge problem to worry about. I have a slight piston slap on my car and its not something im worried about.

you said it crunches into gear leave it in neutral and put your foot on the clutch see if it goes might be your thrust bearing

i know part of it is the thrust bearing as the pedal sticks down at times when i have depressed it and need it to come back up lol, it struggles to get into 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and reverse, only one it doesnt its 5th lol, car just needs a revamp which is what im going to do.

Yeah, if present all the time, thrust bearing.

If present only when clutch pedal pressed, clutch release bearing.
