engine noise

hi all iv just bought a 06 impreza facelift model and everytime i put my foot on the accelerator there is a load tapping noise coming from the engine. does anyone have an idea what it is?

Hopefully not the big ends - what's the oil pressure when running ?

Hi mate 2006 it could still be under warranty

If so get it back to them asap!!

As above. Get it looked at by someone reputable just in case. Then if it's something look into warranty possibilities.

I take it, it's a UK car and standard..?
