Looking to change the original dash bulbs over for led's i've got a type r with white dials ,can some one please advise what is best colour to go for.

Well, 'white' ones will mwke your white dials shine really bright white. Red, green or blue (or any other hue) will obviously give it a subtle coloured tint. I'd just opt for white for maximum viewing capability...
