Default What Torque?

whats the most ya can get from a 54 reg wrx with standard td04 turbo??? mine currently running 280bhp 279 torque with mods and re map... i know im at the limit with the bhp just wondered if i could get some more torque......
what turbo would you upgrade too????????????????

As you say, you're pretty much at the limit with your TD04 now - so torque will be too at about 260-280lb ft

A great swap would be the VF35 or VF34 - one's a roller-bearing version of the other. These are good for about 340-350bhp with similar torque, I think.

Worth getting one of these turbos if intending to retain the std TMIC.

336 ft lbs out of my tdo4 at 282 bhp my00 classic
tek3 (bob rawle), open neck decat downpipe, wr backbox, engine wise thats it.

I may have a good one for sale (fitted by powerstation, done 10'000 miles) in March, I'll post it on SN when it's off the car if it isn't sold beforehand.

336lb ft on a TD04L?! You sure that's not measured in Newton-metres (Nm) instead . If so, then you'd have a more believable 248lb ft.

If that IS in lb ft, then well done - nice one!
