Change the MAF sensor first, then reset the ecu to see if the code for the Knock Sensor comes back

i can understand the air flow one as they are common, but not the knock sensor,i must confess to removing it when rebuilding the engine,is there a specific way to re-install it or is it just a case of sitting it back on,bolt it up and connect the wire.
