Does the blow happen all the time or just when cold?
How loose was the joint before fitting? Rattling /not gripping?
A well made system should expand and seal up with a bit of warmth - I guess its too late to send them back now they're coated?

Rigid sealant won't work as they will break up when the joint moves and flexible sealants will need to be non silicon high temp resistant.

Perhaps try a Nickel based lubricant, but it may blow out too easily?

A good slip joint should be quite stiff to move about by hand before it gets installed and may leak very slightly when cold, but should be gas tight when warm.

A leak in the manifold/up-pipe can affect turbo spool up rate and could give misleading oxygen sensor readings, depending on how bad the leak is.

I thought flexi ones were a bad idea, as they do break and leak?
