Dim Sat Nav screen
I have a 2005 Forester 2.5XT and for the last few months the Sat Nav screen has been very dull at start up and takes a good 20 or so minutes of the car running before the screen shows normal brightness.
I have had the screen replaced but still the same. Car battery is ok (12.5volts with engine off, 14.5 volts with car running.
Any suggestions?

Yes - it is an LCD screen, but I do not think that it is a temperature issue. It did not start up dim for the first couple of years that I had the car. As the screen has been replaced I was coming round to the idea that it might be something to do with the sat nav computer itself
