Default twin scroll setup on sti type-r v5

Hi,

How quick could vf37 start spooling on v5 sti type-r, which has no avcs, as new age jdm sti's have... which I've heard is good for twin-scroll turbos?

Will the spool be much slower? And also what power figures could be reached?

Is there a point in general to use twin-scroll setup on classic sti, to get those around 340HP with quick spool-up? Or will there be not much advantage over i.e. vf35/34?

cheers

With supporting mods you'll get close to 340 with the std turbo, ie meth and a fmic etc.

It goes without saying it will spool a bit slower without the AVCS but the thing to think about is would the gains you are going to get over a single scroll set up going to out way the cost of the twinscroll set up?

Ie, Is it worth it for the outlay?

Standard turbo will push those figures with enough boost and the engine to run it. Mine is giving 350/330 on standard TMIC, standard injectors, 2.1 + equal length headers
