exhaust question
the centre section of my exhaust has started blowing,it is a prodrive centre pipe with a resonator from the ppp.i have found a stainless magnex decat centre pipe that will replace it but i was wondering how much louder a deresonated centre section is compared to the original.i quite like the idea of it being a bit louder but i dont want my ears to bleed.has anyone done a swap? how did compare?
also will i need new gaskets and if so what ones do i need.

The resonator section of the PPP system is part of the original Subaru exhaust.
I replaced this section on my 03 STi with a TSL section and whilst it is a little bit louder, it was no problem at all and still much quieter than pretty well all the after-market systems available.

It won't make a huge difference - it's the backbox that really matters. I swapped a standard system with a WR Sport backbox, to a PPP sports cat, straight through middle and PPP backbox and it's quieter!

its going onto a prodrive back box which sounds great when giving it the beans,a modest increase in noise will be good.
