Default is it really a straight swap

Ah the wonders of tinternet.

My nice shiny td05 16g evo3 just arrived and i just wanted to check if anyone knows if it is literaly a straight swap for my td04. its a 98 classic an before I book an install and remap session at dastek will I need anything else?
Is the standard td04 a straight entry or 90 degree and for that matter does anybody know if TD05 16g I got is a straight entry? The shop said it was a straight swap.

Please put my mind at ease or point me in the right direction to get it checked

When you say evo 3, has this turbo come off an EVO?

The TD05 off imprezas is normally a 90deg bend unless they've converted it.

As cookstar may be impling if it's off an Evo it won't fit.

hi
Yeah I kinda thought the same until i remembered that flat4online sell forced performance td05 16g evo IIIs for classic imprezas from 1996 to 2000 and I compared it visually to the td04 thats still on the car and the inlets and outlets for the downpipe / up pipe look the same.
I didnt get mine from flat4online but it looks very similar.
Like I said maybe I should have compared the 2 before posting
