How much power is restricted if.....
you have a 100 cell sports CAT fitted? (3' system)
is it worth removing for the extra increase in power, if any.. if you have one fitted that is (if your not to worried about MOT time)
a well known garage/mechanic told me any restriction in the exhaust is a restriction but another mechanic/garage told me that if you have a 100 cell sports CAT fitted you wont see much difference without it
with these conflicting statements I ask you guys of your opinions

don't recall mapping the same car with and without to have an exact figure but I would say averaging over a number with and a number without that the loss is probably about 5bhp, on a car 270~330bhp..

Also depends on which companies "100 cell cat" you use.. some are worse than others.
but as Jolly said, 5 ish BHP isn't worth worrying about for the lack of legality and hassle at MOT time.

just to throw a spanner in the works you do not legally have to have a cat it is all down to immissions, if the car passes the immissions then thats that. Not a well known fact but true. car from 92 should have a cat there is nothing in the mot about checking for a cat it is in the car it is all down to the co and afr ratios. if you ask an mot tester he or she will confirm this.
There guildlines are for immisssions only a pass is a pass, not to see if someone has lobbed the cat over the fence. got this from an mot tester i use.
