Default Need help fitting Induction kit

ok, i have jsut a air filter which is the same 3" diameter or so as the maf, and i can bolt it onto the MAF,

but being a 1995 wrx import the ABS is at the front and gets in the way of the filter.

If i could remove the smaller resonator box on the intake i could prob get it to fit, but there are a few pipes connected to the resonator box and not sure how i could plumb them back in.

How do people get around fitting them on this car? ive already got the exit from the boost solenoid venting to air, but there is another much larger breather pipe on the smaller resonator box.

Can you get silivcone tubing with the right fitments? or how does everyone else go about fitting these?

dont want to have to buy a whole fit when the actual filter i have is fine

ok cheers,

same kit as this one it looks like

93-01 Subaru Impreza WRX Sti Air Induction Filter Kit on eBay, also, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 03-Feb-09 23:39:29 GMT)

i got it free off a member of dorset scoobies. its not the best fit, but ive got it so it can bolt onto the MAF, but doesnt quite fit infront of the ABS unit. If i could remove the small resonator box it would just about fit, but then i'd be left with some pipes not connected

I know you don't want to spend money but get one that fits properly (like the Apexi with which you get a metal tube that replaces the resonator box and angles the IK opposite the hole in the wing).

fit it take a piccy then post it up so people can see how much space you have (if any) might help get a few more suggestions.
