Default oil catch tank system

i am doing a rebuild and once complete i'm going to fit a catch tank.

i was looking at the block and the standard breather system, i saw that the crank breather is connected to the manifold just under the main air inlet.

it seems to be a 1 way valve, can this be blanked off, or do you leave it free or will it need plumbing in to the new system??

the car is a my99 v5 type r

thanks
simon

Yep, take pcv valve out & blank it off by screwing a short bolt in it's place.

It's a one way valve
when off boost crank gases goes in there, when on boost pcv valve closes and crank gases goes into induction-pipe and then via turbo & IC to manifold.
