p.s. anyone have problems with a u-type pipe with a banjo bolt on either side , i think it brings oil to the turbo. i replaced the last one as a pin hole appeared and started leakin so i replaced it but this one is leaking 2day.pissing oil everywhere. now it might not have been tighened up properly, but did anyone have a similer problem. its position is, approx., the drivers side above the exhaust, or just below the air intake if that makes sense.

APS do an upgraded TMIC or you could put a later spec STi 8 TMIC on instead.
Hybrid FMIC's aren't that expensive, I guess it depends on what you want to do in the way of future upgrades/current spec.
Hope that helps

personaly i'd go front mount, will need to have the fueling checked to make sure its ok though and if not then prob need a remap, which is the risk, but much better than any topmount

AFAIK the early 'slanty type IC' versions have a tight fit between throttle body and fire wall, so easiest to go FMIC (On my my98 I am very happy with a STi8 TMIC, but fitting that was about all the hassle I was prepared to endure!)
Your oil feed to turbo, did you renew the copper washer? Take it all off, get new washers on both sides, clean all sides and fit again.
