Default Different brackets required? - Fog lamp covers for bugeye

Just bought a set of bugeye fog lamp covers, and they came with brackets.
However, the brackets won't clear the original WRX foglamps, so to fit them I had to disconnect and remove the foglamps.

If possible I'd prefer to keep the foglamps AND fit / remove the covers when I want.
Can anyone tell me if the bugeye has two different types of bracket for foglamp covers?

Does anyone on here run an STI with covers fitted and foglamps behind?

AFAIK the bugeye WRX bracket fixes to the lower outside fog fixture and comes forward next to the fog lamp.

There is a single bolt holding the cover on with the remaining two upper corners being held with small flanges.

I'll have a pic on my home PC.

Cheers Shaun - I reckon there are two different types of bracket, because there's just no way the current ones would fit without some serious bending!

I'll post a pic when I get home so might be quite late.....my fog covers would actually stay in without the bolt / bracket because they clip in so tight

Cant get mine to fit either and I want to keep the fogs on the car and just be able to remove covers when required.

Pics would be great - thanks.

here's a pic of the off side fog lamp area, the fog lamp is off (cold air kit going in) but you can see the single bracket that went around the OEM fog light and bolted to the fog cover.......keeping the fog lamp

My brackets dont look like that! Did you modify them or did they come that shape? Have you tried the covers with the fogs in place?

The fog covers (from TSL) came like that with just the one bracket.....yes they do fit over the fogs (see other side)

In general fog covers that are solid are sold as "replacements" for the fog lamps. Mesh covers are to stop expensive stone chips LOL

These fog covers usually need removal of the fogs...

and the Prodrive style came with no fogs at all behind the covers !!

Yeah I have those too.
A mate said they'd need 'modifying' I guess that's what he meant.
Thanks Shaun - much appreciated
