Default which fuel to run ?

hello chaps ' i have only had my wagon a few days now and just getting used to etc... which fuel does people recommend to use daily in the subaru '

i have used stock unleaded then the other night i went to the fuel station with under 1/4 of unleaded in the tank ' and thought i try the vpower and for a few miles the car just seemed lumpy ' i was thinking mixing the stock fuel with the vpower isnt what it likes ' which fuel would be recommeded to use ' as i found no difference in the two ' but being an import were mapped to run higher octane fuel ' its been in the country since 2000 so im sure it has been ran on stock fuel at somepoint in its life ' can anyone put some light on this issue ?

many thanks

Its a proper can of worms mate, personally i will not use anything but v-power or tesco 99. You ECU is a very clever unit and will advance timing (increased power) and retard timing (decreased power) according to fuel ron and quality. Make your own mind up. Heres 100 opinions:
