whats the difference

hi all.whats the diff whith the up pipe/down pipe its getting me a bit confused.i have a nur spec r tail pipe and im wanting to get the rest of it 3".but does that mean i need a up pipe and down pipe.thanx

I should have explained:
Guys get a Center Section & Back Box.
Some get a Full Turbo back System.
Then you can have a full system + up pipe + down pipe.
