Up pipes???
Are all up-pipes the same length???
Reason I ask is I have just bought a set of Harvey Smith ported Headers & up pipe from a member on here which were on a V7 bug eye STI, will these be O.K for MY98 V4 STI Type R as in the pictures on this thread it looks like there are 2 different size up pipes

I have just bought the up pipe with the threaded hole in it if that helps

If they are slip jointed then one may be extended longer than the other.
When installed, it will get pushed back to the correct length, but may make the heat wrap loose.

No mate, one of the up-pipes is defo longer than the other.
Had a PM from Harvey and he said "The size of uppipe is determined by the turbo you intend to run in the future"
The guy I bought the Harvey Ported Headers & slip jointed up-pipe was running an AFP18G on his V7 Bugeye STI and I will be running an AFP20G on MY98 V4 STI Type R so will this up-pipe be O.K on my car or will there be fitting problems???
