Default HELP ITS COOKING IT SELF !!!!!!!!!

hello to all ive got a p plate wrx sti vspec with a redtop engine and
it keeps over heating if u put your foot down
If u drive round town its fine get out of town and bring it on boost it boils up
ive had it pressure test by a subura specilist 3 times and its all fine
ive tried it with the thermostat out no change
is there any chance it could be the water pump bearings thanks

could be a few things..

Water pump failing? low amount of coolant in yur water? air pockets in your coolant? blockage in the coolant system?

what colour is the fluid when you open the header tank cap?
does the heaters still blow warm air? or just cold?

its does it wen on boost cause your turbo is water cooled, so the turbo heats up the water quicker....

ok best place to bleed i would say would be the temprature gauge sensor on the inlet manifold, have you heard it bubbling or you just going by the gauge reading?
if so clean temperature sensor and give the system a back flush get rid of any gunk in the block, and heater matrix.

hope this helps

Do you lose any water at all? and the bubbles in the overflow tank (nearside) are they quite frequent?.

If you lose water when driving underload, but can drive fine all day long then I would suggest HG on its way out.

My STI v3 would run fine until under boost for a while, pressure tested ok and no sign of 'fumes' using a gas analizer in the coolent. Once the heads were off though you could see a track where it was letting combustion pressurise the water system, but only under boost not normal driving.

Hope this is not the case for you, but worth a thought, as I went down the stat/airlock/blocked matrix route first myself.

(common ish problem on these cars around 60k I think)
