Are they an easy DIY job as I have found one in an ebay shop.
Am I being a bit of an idiot even looking in an ebay shop.

assuming you're car is reasonably standard, your turbo will already have a wastegate, so adding an external one will just complicate things.
If you're on a standard setup at the moment, you will need to:
1. Get the wastegate connectecd pre-turbo (i think you could have the takeoff somewhere in the up-pipe). I.e. you need to weld on a bung to connect the WG to.
2. Get a similar bung welded onto the downpipe that you can connect the other side of the WG to.
3. make sure your standard wastegate is not blown open
4. Probably remap
i.e. lots of work for not much gain (if any) so don't bother (IMO)

Thanks.
Perhapse I`ll give it a miss for now then.
I have no problem doing the work but dont have a spare car while mines in bits, Just fancied the sound of an external gate. Sad I know but I`m easily pleased.
