Default please help boot locked

my mate has just bought an n reg wrx from an auction and the boot lock is knackered. To add more to his problem the catch inside the drivers door does not work either (maybe the switch is up on the lock in the boot lid). Is there a way of getting into his boot? first option is to remove the seats have had a look and there are two bolts on either side of the back seat. Does anyone know if there are anymore thanks

yes there is another bolt in the middle of the seat back rest at the bottom i think. It is indeed possible to get into the boot via the back seat once the bolts have been removed. I think you have to lift the back rest UP once you have removed all the bolts.

yeah two bolts along the front of the base, one between the back rest and base in the middle. base then lifts out and then two bolts each side on the back rest and it lifts up off two hooks one each side and can be removed.
