Question Check Engine Light

Hi, i did do a search but couldn't find anything the same.

The problem i'm getting is on MY00 UKTurbo, when i turn the ignition on i hear the fuel pump ect... but when i try and turn the car over it wont have it! It trys but wont fire! As i said the fuel pump is running but it's as if there's no spark. After trying to turn over the "Check Engine" light flashes on the Dashboard.

Anyone any ideas?

Cheers,

Chris

Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia under the 'ECU' heading shows how to read error codes and rest the ecu after you've solved the problem.

Cheers for that, right done the diagnostic and it's show 53;

53 Antenna
53 Anti-Quick Operation Mode
53 Communication Error (Time Over)
53 EGI Control Module EEPROM
53 IMM Circuit Failure (Except Antenna Circuit)
53 IMM Control Module EEPROM
53 Key Communication Failure
53 Reference Code Incompatibility
53 Use of Unregistered Key

53 could be any of the above, which one is likely to be the fault? (turning over but not starting?)

Also how do i reset the Check Engine light when it's sorted?

Cheers,

Chris

Edited - this webb site says 53 Fuel Pump or Circuit

I think you may need a trip to a dealer or subaru specialist (i think all those codes are the same code as they are relating to the immobiliser but not sure sorry)
