Default WHAT GEARBOX

i have a gearbox lying , it was in my 95 stira ,,,the number on it TY-754VBBBA
is it the proper one for that car ,,,,

According to the tranny chart, then the TY754VBBBA is for a JDM Legacy RSK & GT-B, MY01 - see here...

The SPDA - Transmission Chart

It's defo not the OEM fitment to a 1995 STi Type RA, as the stronger cased 8 bolt TY754 boxes were fitted to MY99>on cars only... MY93-98, it was the 4-bolt TY752...


P.S. Totally off topic... eggy, what are you going to do about your suspected HG failure?

thanks mate, i did see that chart, wondered why my present car (ver 3 sti ra) felt closer in the gears,

as for the HG, im trying to build up the courage to tackle it,, i do all my own work to keep down costs,,i think il sell her when im finished (bloody money pit)
