I would fit the bugeye one so that it seals perfectly around the edge of the intercooler.

I should have said , the problem with this is that its made to fit inside the bugeye scoop so i am not sure how well it will fit in the scoop on your classic. It may need some minor mods to get it to fit.

I haven't any pictures sorry. I fitted an sti inter cooler to my bugeye wagon and changed the scoop and under tray to suit the new inter cooler.
