Drifting eh?! You need to weld up the transfer box to stop driving going forward, searching Aussie and US forums will show you what kit you need.

Bear in mind only a decent rear diff will handle 100% of the power a scoob puts out, many people change the whole rear end and fit skyline parts, subframe and all. Good luck!

yes i agree, i did this a good years ago, i took the center diff out of a spare box i had, welded it all up, fitted it back in the casing ready to fit in one sunny day, then i just left it in the shed, i changed my mind when i found out the rear diff wont handle it, stick with 4x4 youll only trash your pride n joy.

LSD. On a non DCCD-equipped car (i.e. 'normal' WRX and STi) it's a very simple viscous coupling (VC) device. The centre diff of non DCCD cars is a VC too, with an open, or 'free', diff at the front.

i read an artical on team orange and how they do it! they reacok they just remove drive shafts and plate the hubs and stuff, they said they dont strenthen anything at all, all they said was, because the scoobs r awd the castor or on the rear was almost positive, so u need to space the arms with some washers to make the castor negitve to help the steering centralize and then they use pillowball top mounts off an bugeye for the classic to help a bit more,
