brake discs sizes and what decent pads?
getting some new discs, what size discs are on a 1995 wrx import front and back?
1) what size disc do 4 pot calipers take? are they the same? i may upgrade to these at some point, could i use same discs?
2) and what are some decent pads to get? not too expensive? brakes at the moment tend tyo go on for a long long time till i stop

Yeah, unfortunately that's the problem of the std 2-pots and 277mm discs, I'm afraid.
I upgraded to the 4-pots/294 discs and, although not the last thing in out and out stopping power, nethertheless are a huuuge improvement over stock.
Black Diamond are a good cheaper pad upgrade. You can't go wrong with Ferodo DS2500 either.
Any pad upgrade will produce more dust over a shorter time period than OEM ones.
Have look in the classifieds - there's always a set of 4-pots and/or 294mm discs for sale. Plus they're dirt cheap these days. They simply bolt straight onto the existing wheel hub's caliper brackets! .
Also, it's worthwhile spending an extra few notes for the Goodridge steel brake lines too - helps deliver maximum braking effort to the pistons...
