setting boost
my scoob seams to be over boosting and hitting fuel cut. I decided to fit my daws device to see if this would fix the problem but it is still over boosting. When i was setting up the daws device i set it to 8, 10, 12 and then 14psi and it seams to hold steady at these boost levels up to about 5000rpm at which point the boost rockets to about 15psi and it hits fuel cut.
Why is this could the actuator be faulty
the car is a 1993 wrx

try a piece of pipe between compressor cover and actuator.. it should then run actuator pressure flat.. if it creeps at the higher rpm still then you have a problem somewhere.. usually actuator fail weak tohugh not strong.. but it could be an adjustment issue, ie. someone has tightenned it too much.
Be sure the pipe to the actuator has no leaks.

tried another second hand actuator today but no difference and i cant find any leaks. I will try a bit of pipe from the actuator to the turbo outlet next week. If that wont work then what else should i try would it be worth taking the turbo off and cleaning out the wastegate?

i put a new bit of pipe from the actuator to the turbo outlet and it doesnt seam to hit fuelcut anymore. It seams to make about 10 psi which goes up to about 12psi as it gets near the read line

fitted my daws device today and Its boosting at 10psi but now when it gets to 5000+rpm it now goes to 14-15psi but does not hit fuel cut.
Why is this does it need a electronic boost controller or remap or something??
