Hi guys, just read a post on the forum involving downpipes, if I fit one to my00 uk wagon, would I need to get it remapped? Matey on another thread said it could cease the engine if I dont remap!

Any thoughts and any places where I can get hold of a good example, Jap perfprmance parts are doing second hand ones for £125, used but look in good condition.

Probably get one on ebay. I advertised my H&S 3'' downpipe for £100 yesterday but its sold already. Anyway you should not need a remap (although you would see more benifits if you did), I did find that with a 3'' system from turbo back my car overboosted and thats why im putting the standard downpipe back on. I could of used a boost controller but as I have no plans to modify my car I was happy enough putting the standard dp back on.

 

if you get a downpipe with a sportscat in it you wont need a remap. but if you get a decat downpipe you will need a remap
