the usual way for a 2.5 ltr is to buy a 2.5 ltr shortblock and transfer your cylinder heads and inlet manifold etc over to it, that way your exisiting sensors work by using your existing loom.
A 92 to 95 engine will be a straight swap (if auto you will need to change a few things like you have mention)
If you go the 2.5 ltr route you will need a different ecu to run it correctly and safely
