dump valve on or off???
Bought my 97 wrx with a new bailey dump valve on it. Been reading some of the threads on here and just want some extra advice. Does the dump valve upset the running of the car? will it do any damage? only problem i have is when i give the car a good run and she's warm she tends to over idle when stationary. Got a new Maf sensor, coil pack and idle valve reciepts from scooby. will this be solved by putting the OE valve back on?
Cheers Phil

Gosh this question has been done alot!
yes in some cases a vent to atmosphere dumpvalve can upset the running of the car a bit. For others everything runs fine.
Full removal and blanking seems to regarded as ok if standard and if you have a TD series turbo (i think you will have a TD05, might be wrong. TD04 if a wagon).
standard re-circ is widely regarded as the best way to go if you arn't interested in the noise
think thats it...?
