advice????
right guys, firstly thanks for all the help and replies to my last post's
right as some of u know, i got the typical bottomend knock before christmas. basically i think the oil pump failed and caused the knocking as i have recently found out that my oil pressure was low from when i first bought it bk in june?(1bar on idle/2 bar driving)
so i want to know(please) can some 1 give me a guide as to what damage it might have done? i was going to replace the following:
oil pump
seals
all gaskets
water pump
timing belt
big end shells
main bearing
new rings
does any 1 know of anything eles? i got told they can sometime damage the crank? how do i tell? i can get a ground and rebalance crank from a place for £100, but dont want to replace it if mine is fine?
thankyou guys for the advice and patience lol.

crank will be gone!!!! and yes re grinds are a no no as far as im concerned.
so crank
also con rods as it will have damaged one. replace them all.
all shell bearing
for the price of pistons i would chuck a set in while im there and rings
oil pump, oil cooler modine, sump
gaskets seals etc
clutch if needed
i personally would go for forged internals myself to make your bottom end stronger.
oil cooler modine and sump need changed as its very hard to get all the big end shell out of them, and for the price its easier changing them. think 90quid for cooler and 50quid sump
i just would scrimp and save tryin to fix it cheap as it will just blow up a second time and cost you twice as much. spend the money first time round.

no mate its not stripped down yet? gonna do it tommorow? i intend to by new parts first time round i was just interested to find abit more about it out! why would you change the sump? cos the bigends and shells are hard to get out?
how do i check the crank? as soon as the knock started it was turned off and aint been started since?
