Question z4 over standerd ecu

whats the diffrences i can expect from my car when fitting a z4 i have the standerd ecu on the car 3"inch sraight frew exuast and air filter thats about it

slightly more power,slightly more boost but the boost is held for longer.

WRX/STi Saloon ECU's 2C, U8, W6, W9 - As above, 11.47psi held to redline. Fuel-cut 14.57psi

WRX (1995/96) ECU Z4 - 12.71psi, dropping to 11.78psi @ 6600rpm. Fuel-cut 15.65psi.
Has a better fuelling map.

however the best standard ecu for the early cars is a 6K from a STI2

what gains could i expect over a standerd ecu with a z4

Your std ECU is rated at 240PS or 237bhp. Z4 is 260PS or 256bhp, so a decent 19bhp odd increase - theoretically.

the 240 ps is that for jap imports aswell are they not more ps or dose this not matter that its a import

Jap WRX and WRX Type RA saloons - 240PS (237bhp) til Aug 1995.

UK/Eur/Aus/NZ/RoW - 211PS (208bhp) til Aug 1999... 218PS (215bhp) after.
