Turbo spool up
HI scoobynetters
I have a 1996 jdm import wrx v limited with the tdo5 16g makes good power which i am happy with what i'm not happy with is the spool up it seems to take a long time. Doesn't come on boost till about 3000 rpm ish and doesn't hit max till 3800 rpm. I have heard of decat downpipes ported headers up pipe helping the situation would a remap also bring the spool up time down too??
Any suggestions

Yeah some ported headers would help the spool up quite well. and yeah a downpipe will help also as it'll be more free flowing.
Not sure about remap as havent had that done yet, so havent any info on this.

The decat down pipe, ported headers and up pipe will help, and so will a remap, and if you have those three things done, i would recommend a remap also.
The one minor problem you have though is that your ecu cannot be remapped, it can have a chip added, but you would really need another ecu (aftermarket) which wont be exactly cheap (12-1400 quid)
