i checked my engine oil and seen it was a bit low.... decided to top up, but i dont know what oil it uses ....

i recently bought it as some know . seller got no idea aswell as it was done at a garage,...

do i need to change the whole lot and the filter??? or can i get away with topping up with something like 10W40???

ye 10/40 will be ok if its a petrol

 

i am not sure what oil it had before i top up////

would it cause damage if it was NOT 10w40???

It wont cause damage. When was the oil last changed?

 

few weeks ago before i bought it...

 

for the price play safe and change it much cheaper than causing damage and then you will know for sure what oil you have

 

i put Motul comp300 15w/50 fully synth in mine if its any help.
