Will MY96 Sti short block mate up to MY99 uppers?
Been looking at 96 sti CDB with some damage for rebuilding.
Would this short block mate up to my MY99 inlet manifold etc?
If not what would i need in order for it to be put into my MY99 RB5?

the inlet manifold mates to the heads so as long as you use your heads then it will fit no issue.
The only point of concern is the compression ratio is different using that block and pistons etc with your heads so best to seek advice on the correct head gasket to use..
Mark @ Lateral Performance will know which one to use and be able to supply

oh and of course your own block is fine to mid 400s so unless you intend going silly with it you might want to save your money and spend it else where.

My current engine is at 93k and im about to stick 100+ BHP on it.
Most likely it will break shortly which won't be so bad if i have a spare block ready. Plus i think it would be an interesting project seeing as i have plenty spare time.
