Unhappy SMOKE

can any1 help me my98 has smoke comimg from front of the engine just under the cam belt cover. it dosn't happen all the time it only seems to be after hard drivin. PLEASE HELP.

crankshaft oil seal is a common failure

ye crank seal,, get a new seal and new timing belt put in at same time.

hello mate
take a look at the cam cover gaskets as these leak(particulaly on high mileage cars)the oil drips on to the manifold and you get the smoke,it just happened to mine as i had smoke comin up thru the bonnet scoop.

worth a check

It could be the cam cover gasket....as said above they are prone. I would honestly check this before i attempt the front crank seal though. As the latter is a timely process.
