Default Cable and Terminal size for replacing battery/alternator leads ?

I'm in the process of fitting an Odyssey PC680 battery and want to replace the cable that goes from the positive terminal to the starter motor and the negative cable. I'm also planning on fitting some extra cables to the negative terminal and fit them to the inlet manifold etc to act as extra earths.

I've found a place that can supply the cables and ring terminals but i'm not sure what sizes to order. Does anyone know what size cable I should go for and what size ring terminals I will need ?

This is what i've been looking at:
Powervamp Car Battery Cables
Powervamp Car Battery Terminals

Any help with this would be appreciated

I use 35mm when putting the battery in the boot. As for extra engine earths - pointless!

Im also looking at fitting one of these or similar. What battery terminals are you using? The supplied ones are wrong aren't they?

172sport - 35mm is quite big isn't it,I was thinking maybe 16mm. What's the size of the standard cable ? I thought extra earths were a good idea as most people seem to say that Subaru earths are crap.

mit - I've got M6 bolts supplied with my battery so will just fit M6 ring terminals to the cables and use those. You can get these though to fit the PC680 which means you can still use the normal clamps ODYSSEY Battery Terminal Adaptors [CYC0008] - £10.25 : Active Robots, Robotics, Control and Electronics Technology

I went for a set of posts, easier to swap back to standard fit if nec..

If you go for a pair of posts make sure that one is slightly larger diameter, as the neg post is larger on the oem battery, as are the terminal rings. Neg ring won't tighten up on smaller post IYSWIM..?
