Unhappy ABS Breaking

Hi Everyone !

Have a problem with my brakes.

I have 04 WRX Sportwagen.

My front discs were running thin and on moderate breaking the ABS kicked in and a grinding noise came from the wheels (Metalic Creaking/grinding).

The discs were due for replacement so I had that done.

Now, especially on ice/snow, but also in the dry I still get the ABS kicking in and the grinding. Is a bit worrying as the car feels like its not gonna break properly and will skid esp on ice.

I have lost confidence in breaking even moderately hard in case I don't stop !

Would any of you guys have any suggestions as to what the problem might be ?

p.s. suggestions from other people include old/brand new disc problems, abs breaking pressures, brake pedal to ABS system pressure allignment ???????

HELP !
