Default help car running lumpy/ revs itself

went out this morning and since then on tick over the engine is a little lumpy and seems like its struggling feels like it has flat spots when pulling away about 2-3000 rpm and when coming to a stop it revs its self up and down for about 30 seconds going upto about 2000rpm

have you checked error codes lots of things could cause this maff /idel control valve /air leak or have you drove through any water ....changed the petrol you normally use ... check error codes first take it from there ....

its got an fc commander can it be reset still not gone thru any water ;-( can i do any diy tests to try and pinpoint it

Mine does as above replaced MAF with a new one and replaced IDLE VALVE still the same I can see a Box of matches coming out

If you've got a Power Fc then i think you can check the voltages of each sensor via the Commander

If i can check the voltage on my power Fc, then what should i be looking for??

right checked the mass sensor by taking it of and run really lumpy when taken of and i now know that its when the engine is warm its when it starts running lumpy started it let it just sit there ticking over after about 4-5 mains a few little revs in this time upto about 3000rpm that it is running lumpy

To check the maff sensor, do the ecu checks as post 2. above.
