Question UK/Import P.S. Tank... any difference ?

Guys I've changed my power steering tank for a powder coated one which I had done but I've lost my power steering here now and we don't know if we have something dropped down into it or have damaged the pump somehow changing over.

The question I've just had raised is the tank itself.... I think the tank I had coated came of a type-r originally would that be the same as on a uk car ? the question is about the outlet on the bottom of the tank where the oil goes into the pump itself... is it the same size bore on both models and would it make a difference if not ?

Any ideas would be appreciated here.

Cheers
Simon

Hiya Si, I dont know if you have tried this or not already, but if you have air in the system which could possibly cause this problem, best thing to do would be the following :

Jack the front of the car off the ground
Run the engine
Turn the steering lock to lock to try and worm out the trapper air in the system.

We did that Mat but I think it may be best to try it again as it is a possibility still maybe... only trouble is I don't have a jack that I'm able to get the whole of the front end up with here so that will have to wait until I get back up to Andy's.
