Default Fitting time for short shift and quick rack

The two main things i miss from my old JDM is the short shift and the quick rack

Anyone upgraded their UK models?

What sort of time, complexity and money am i looking at the upgrade on an 05 STI?

Oh, Also anyone know if a hyperflow TMIC has a standard size entry and also a TD05 20g- may upgrade to samco hosing throught the turbo and intake areas

Merry Christmas

I know the link's for a MY06 car, but I'm sure the semantics are probably similar... Mind, it'll probably put you off lol!

To be fair, that thread is about the 5 speed box on the WRX, the 6 speed on the STi is a bit different I think: judging by the Cobb shift fitting video that's linked in that thread, the bushing on the six speed is somewhat easier to access, and so the whole process should be much less traumatic!! The video is for the US model, but I guess the gear mechanism is the same. Still, the bushing is designed to hold the stick ball end pretty firmly, so I guess there's always the chance it'll be a nightmare to go in. Just make sure you've got a hammer and a piece of wood! All being well it should be a half hour job, but my sorry saga took three hours all told!

Sorry, don't know about the quick rack - well beyond my very limited DIY mechanics ability!
